Year 10 Media Short Film Project: DSNN

DSNN

Over a number of weeks, the students involved in the Year 10 Media class here at Lyndhurst have used their increasing skills to produce a short film as part of the Deakin School News Network (DSNN) programme (www.deakin.edu.au/schoolnewsnetwork).

Mrs Green, who has assisted in the development of the class groups’ short films, stated that she was “…happy with what the students presented and [that] it gave the class a direct goal and purpose.” She emphasised the importance of this project as it “…allowed students to be a part of film and film production, including acting, editing, scripting, camera-work, planning and storyboarding”.

The project enabled students’ work and efforts to be published, promoted and appreciated. The opportunity was met with great enthusiasm by the students, with the experience being described as ‘a great achievement’, “‘funtertaining’”and ‘a great teamwork opportunity’. Lyndhurst is proud to present the impressive work of the Year 10 Media students…
